This is just a sample of the list thus far for the supply houses only. This does not include the places that just supply certain materials such as stag or mother of pearl, just the general supply houses. If I have missed anyone, please chime in.

These are just the ones in the USA. We have a number of folks that frequent this site from Canada, Asia and Europe. Any information on supply houses in other countries would be greatly appreciated.

Michael, if you could email me the information I would appreciate it. If you would like to post it as well that would be great. I am trying to make a list available for everyone's use and as a single focal point on this site or forum.

Hello Mr. Wilkins:

I have a suggestion for you that you may care to take in to consideration.

When you list the knifemaking supply houses, under their company contact info. you may care to give a brief description as to what item(s) they market or specialize in. This will give the reader a more specific place to look for the item(s) they are in need of.

For instance at Universal Agencies, Inc. (UAI) we specialize in supplying the world with India Stag, Buffalo Horn, Mother of Pearl, Thuderforged (tm) Damascus & Knife Kits.

Just a suggestion.

Sheffield's has been added. I will be honest with you, I have never used these folks. Could someone that does please relay what all they carry? Are they akin the TKS, K&G, Jantz and the others?

Sheffield knifemaker Supply is in the same category as TKS, K&G, Koval etc. However, as with all the supply houses, they have a few things the others dont carry, some things at better prices some at worse prices. They are extremely helpful in the ordering dept. A couple years ago they were the only ones who had a supply of 1/16" 440C on hand for an order I got and shipped it next day air for me so I could meet my delivery time. Nice Folks.
If I remember my catalog right they have about the best selection and prices on various micarta products.
