Topic says it all.

I'm interested to see if there's any correlation between design style and underwear. My hypothesis is that tactical folder makers are more likely to wear briefs and fixed-blade makers boxers.

Why have I proposed this hypothesis? Just to give this thread legitimacy, of course. This is no silly joking around thread poking fun and certain other threads. No! This is a scientific experiment to prove or disprove my break-through hypothesis.

Believe it or not, I thought about posting this very question! It seems that the "what cars do knifemakers drive" thread and paracelus' subsequent approval has provided us with a whole new dimension of questions to ask here in this forum. Cool!
As for an answer, I would think that the "tactical briefs" would have to be more popular, for rapid one handed access, don't you know!

Gollnick,
Does your signature "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing" give us a clue as to your preference in skivies? :0

mike45,

There are certain things I like to swing and certain things I'd prefer not to. For me, it's Tighty Whiteys all the way every day thank you.

Oh, and Mr. Jedi Knife, I would appreciate it if you would afford this very serious thread the respect it deserves. I am certainly not trying to make jest of any any other thread. No. Not me. I'm not gonna go there. Wouldn't be prudent. This thread is a fully legitimate exploration of my knife style/underwear style theory.

In fact, I've applied for a government grant to further study this vital issue. I feel that a half a million bucks should do it... don't you think?

I would think that balisong makers go the full freedom route. Folder maker probably goes for tidy whities, while fixed blade makers go for boxers.

Like Kramer said Jerry:"I'm out there and lovin' it"

Well Chuck, while I'm resisting the urge to reach through the screen and SMACK you one, I feel that the TRUE issue is not whether they wear boxers or breifs, but rather if they use that little "hole" in the front or go "over the top" so to speak when the need to purge themselves of all that used coffee arises.
THERE is a serious question!

Geez, some people's kids.

Hmmm...you omitted a third possibility. Perhaps there are those who prefer pure freedom.

Hoodoo

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

Unlike Gollnick, I dont believe in his theory "that it dont mean a thing if it aint got that swing", Therefore breifs!

Wouldn't tactical knifemakers tend to "go commando"?

We need to get a couple dozen copies of Tim's trophy made up for this week's threads...

Mr.Gollnick- I think a commitee should be formed first to investigate the possibilities and direction of any future research, for which the half-million should be appropriated to. Depending on the findings, the actual research could require considerably more funding.

Yes, I am all for a serious and expensive scientific survey. What I want to know is why Mr. Jedi Knife even bothers to post in this forum, since he almost never discusses knives, but rather always seems to be keenly interested discussing in forum policy.

I want to thank Mr. Gollnick, Mr. Montgomery, and Mr. Knife for reminding me that not everyone will agree with every decision I make. I considered closing the Cars thread, but I really did think it could be interesting. Of course it's 'knife content' was questionable. But how did that thread harm anything? Why a couple of people found it offensive is beyond me. Just ignore the darned thing if you don't like it.

On the other hand, for a couple of guys who are are expressing their Dislike of threads sans knife content, you have a funny way of making your point. Have fun with it folks. I won't lock this thread either, since you obviously want to play.

You can accept my decision on the 'cars' thread, or you can ignore it, or you can act in a childish manner and start posting all sorts of ridiculous threads in a wierd sort of emotional tantrum. Somebody should spank you kids

I am usually damned if I do something, and damned if I don't. So screw it. Have fun this crap guys. It's YOUR party. I'm going home...
