Knifemakers; do you buy other maker's knives?

I was just curious if any of you custom makers buy knives from other makers. For instance, do you only use knives that you design and make since you feel they're the best for you? Or if something catches your eye, do you buy it or make a similar one of your own? I don't have any motive for this question other than idle curiosity, so PLEASE don't take any offense! I just thought it might make an interesting topic.

Just because I talk to myself does not make me crazy. Now, when I listen to myself, that makes me crazy.

Sure do! I buy knives from other makers. I think it is cool to check out what they are doing and get an idea where i need to be as a custom maker. I think I would be stuck up if I wasn't interested in the work that others do. I also just like to have something made by someone else and think"wow they did a great job and it cuts really well"
I myself have gotten a lot of blade shapes and knife ideas from guys like Jerry Busse, newt, matt lamey and numerous others(guys who i look up too)
Just my reasons,
Luke

YES!
I add a few customs to my collection each year! I'm attracted to styles that I don't make like multi blades, etc.
I often carry one of two Lynn Griffiths knives. I hope to add a Reece Weiland Hawkbill folder to my collection later this year.

I don't fit the "custom knifemaker" label, but as a SOG employee, have I bought other brand knives? Yes. My latest purchase was an Auto Stryker from Benchmade (I just had to get a quality auto). As a knife collector, I have knives from other manufacturers because I can appreciate a beautiful knife design, quality craftsmanship, and practical field applications.
