Knifemakers/shops in MA (Essex County, Merrimack Vally)?

I'm a pretty good customer at On the Edge, the knifestore that you recently visited in Boston. I know the owner pretty well.. I'm not sure how old you are, but if you can commute to Boston and are over 18, I would be happy to put in a good word...
 
I know you said you want to work at a "real" knife store, buy you may wish to consider local sporting goods or hunting/fishing stores that carry a decent knife selection. There just may not be anything meeting your stated wants in the area conducive to your commuting needs. If you're feeling really industrious you could mount a letter writing campaign for Stoddard's to open a branch in your town, though I don't imagine it'd work out.
