I was looking on knifekits.com and I wonder how good are these books. What are your opinions on those?

THE TACTICAL FOLDING KNIFE: A Study of the Anatomy and Construction of the Liner-Locked Folder by Bob Terzuola

HOW TO MAKE FOLDING KNIVES by R. Lake, F. Centofante and W. Clay

or

Forget about those and look on the net?

Thanks

This book by Don Robinson is a machinist's approach to locating the pivot, stop, and detente when making a linerlock. While shown using a mill table, it will work if you have a X-Y table on your drill press.

Don is a forum member here, and runs online classes over at knifenetwork.com.

Don Robinson's "My Way"

PS: If you want some CAD patterns to try, look at Don's offerings on his website.

Google "Don Robinson" and look for the "custom knives by...." link. Or search on his name here and use his homepage link.

I just tried it and it worked for me, but that may not mean much....

i really enjoy the tactical knives book. im starting my first folder this week! the wonder of knife making by wayne goddard is really informative even though it focuses on fixed blades, check it out

I think 13.99$ CANADIAN is a good price for that one:)

Any toughts on HOW TO MAKE FOLDING KNIVES by R. Lake, F. Centofante and W. Clay?

I would like to make some knives more "sheeple friendly" too, Laguiole or Case style. (lockback/slipjoint)
