Knifemaking...disease?

I've heard many of the forum members say things like "I've got the bug!" referring to knifemaking fever. I've experienced the same thing, you eat, drink and think about making knives and have trouble falling to sleep at night because you are thinking about how to solve your latest problem. Is this the same for most of you or am I nuts! (a debatable point in any case!) Just curious.-Guy T.

I agree! I've only been attempting to make knives for about 6 months or so , but I think I have found a life long hobby and possibly one day a way to make a few bucks.I know what you mean , you wake up thinking about it you work all day thinking about it and it's hard to get to sleep cause you're tinking about it and it even wakes you up in the middle of the night cause an idea or a way to fix something just pops into your head !IT'S A DISEASE!!!!!

It's funny that you mention thinking about it all through work. Between tasks here, I log on to Bladeforums and sand handle materials. Is that the sign of an addict or what?
