Knifemaking question... How do you surface grind your blades

hey,

love the latest videos.:thumbup:

was wondering how you surface grind your blades ? especially those where the steel comes only blasted and not precision ground

do you use a surface grinder or do you do it somehow by hand ???


many use the beltgrinder and do it on the platen I tried but was never satisfied with the results

now I do it by hand with sandpaper..takes forever:barf:


so would really like to know how you do it
