Knifemaking with Bob Loveless

I have just bought this book and its in the mail but can someone tell me about or post a link of a picture of the huge bowie in Bobs hands on the back cover?

All the best for the new year Marcus.:)

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon about 4 weeks ago.

Should be here any day soon....I hope.;)

Ian.

Haven't read it yet but thumbing through the pages, it looks like a good and thorough A-Z Loveless book. Starts with design & layout goes through all phases of construction including sheathmaking. It finishes up with a section on maintaining Loveless knives and sheaths. Also has a lot of photos of rare Loveless knives from the John Denton collection.

Durwood Hollis did a nice job on this book.

I may do a more formal review after reading it.

The knife in Bob's hand (back cover) is actually a large sub-hilt fighter, however there is a large Clippoint Bowie made in 1955 in the book which is a part of the John Denton Collection.

You will love this book Ian.

I got mine; probably the only copy in this country. I 've been hoping for some time off to read it.

I echo everything you wrote, except to say, Mr. Hollis did a kickass job on this book!

A MUST for Loveless collectors and those simply interested in him and his work.

I was trying to be a little reserved on the personal complement until I finished reading the book. ;)
