hey I have bee thinking about throwing for some time and now would like to start looking for a decent set. had anyone used any of gil hibbens throwing knives or axes? what do you think of them? do you have anyother suggestions? I don't want any thing expensive just some cheepies.

It has been quoted many times that a beginner should start with bigger knives and go from there. I have heard good things about the hibbens but since I make my own I have not used them.

The Hibbens are a good choice for the newbie, also the Cold Steel True Flight Thrower. I have used both. They are rugged and fairly inexpensive. Work your way up to the 12-14 inch throwers if you get serious about this sport. That's what all the experts use.

has anyone used the sks pikes? knifesmith showed me a sight that has them for CHEAP and was wandering if those would be a descent first set
