I just started knife collecting and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to buy off the Internet? Every discount knife i find is off set buy high shipping and handling. Is there anything i can do or is there anyplace you all might know off. So far I just found it is cheaper and easier to buy at shows? Is that the common practice? Any help is appreciated

Excellent prices on cutlery and shipping check out the Bladeforums store "one stop knife shop" or James' "Chai Cutlery". Try clicking on some of the banners too. I find I usually buy off the 'net. But I don't get to that many shows. Brian

Also www.bestknives.com and www.knifecentre.com are good places to start. Most places are pretty good and have to stay that way to survive. Supporting one stop supports the forum, a good thing

In the upper right corner of this page is a small link entitled "STORE". You might not notice it if someone didn't point it out. That will take you to OneStopKnifeShop.com. Purchases there help support the forum

Skyland Cutlery has really good prices. I don't know their website address off hand but they are easy to find on Alta-Vista's search engine.

However, Brian at Discount Knives will beat it (or any other advertised competitor) at 10% less.

Also visit our huge "links" section.

I have bought knives from; James Mattis at Chai Cutlery, Fred at The Knife Outlet and here at One Stop Knife Shop. My experiences with all three were super! I have nothing but praise for each one of them!

Mike Payne from Knives and Things is A+ for service. Good prices and he takes care of everything personally. He can't be beat. Can't remember his URL though. Someone want to post it? I've ordered from Mike at least 4 times and twice he sent the knife to me before I had even gotten the money order for them. Mike usually responds to my e-mails in less than 3 hours, and sometimes even in less than 10 minutes.

I've also had many dealings with Brian at www.discountknives.com, he is very good as well. He normally responds to e-mails within a business day, and his pricing is highly competitive. Shipping costs are usually only 3.50.

I've had good experiences with Skylands Cuttlery too. Gregg is a really nice guy to deal with and they have a very wide selection.

I just got a couple of knives from Brian at Discountknives.com and all I can say is Wow! I ordered online Thurs night, they shipped Friday and got here (AZ) today (Mon)!!!! The merchandise was good, of course, but what impressed me was the service. His prices were the lowest I found on Fallkniven, and that shipping speed was incredible!
