I just ordered a M390 grip with black micarta paper scales from knifeworks...it is an exclusive.
I should get it soon and will let you know how it feels in hand and f+f.

I am excited...it should be a great hard use edc.

I really like the benchmade knifes with M390 and cpm20. Should be a really nice combo post pics when it arrives.

It's a great knife.

I have a cpm20v grip now...but it is kind of flashy. I look forward to the
black scales with spacers. I love open back grips!

I found the previous thread...thanks! And Blue Metal Church...I am glad you
chimed in. I paid 169...less than my grey blue G10 grip.
At 169 I think it is a bargain. I love M390. And I can't wait to feel the Micarta!!!

Just replied to the other thread/your post. lol

I picked mine up on a sale as well. M390 is a great steel and the micarta is super smooth feeling. Feels great in hand.

I can't take my limited 65 of 120 Ares with OD green black G-10 out of my pocket for one reason....Benchmade hit the heat treat of this M390 out of the park!
I think you are going to love it. M390 is great.

If these came in a mini, I'd own one by now for sure. I like Benchmade's M390, I like micarta, and I love the mini grip.

I hope you enjoy your new acquisition!

I just pulled the trigger on one of these, having found it on sale for $169. I was looking at the DLT CF version earlier today and thinking how nice it was with the different look to the scales and the brass standoffs. I may even like that one better, but I really dig Micarta too and this one is $64 less.

I had written in the thread linked in Post #3 above that I wasn't so sure about a Grip in improved handle material with the same shape and jimping as the Noryl handles, but the improvement over the stock grips I found in the 550-1 I bought for my wife last summer has sort of convinced me that it's more a matter of materials than grip shape that annoys me. All my Griptilians wear aftermarket scales. This will be my 6th Grip and the first in the 551 blade style uncoated and without serrations. I expect this to go right into my work-carry rotation.
