Who, or what is Knifeworld?. I have seen on the BA many knives that say "custom design by knifeworld" that are very very very close to pure duplications of what must be patented knives. One, for example says custom designed by knifeworld, but is clearly a Paragon Xo-lite replica to a TEE. There are others that are 'custom designed by knifeworld" that are clearly CUSTOM knives made by very reputable knifemakers. Is this not beyond the "clone stage"? Being a Newbie, the words Custom design, imply some Custom Knifemaker DESIGNED a knife using HIS/HER imagination, mind, thoughts, blood, money, sweat etc. Then this knife is produced at the mass level or done by hand but the Custom designer is Joe whoever or Joan whoever. When I see a "Custom design by knifeworld" and it is a very close replica to a Tom Mayo TNT is this not a patent infringement and is Tom NOT entitiled to take immediate action to cease and desist and collect damages. TO me THIS IS SLIME!!!!! It is not saying a Tom ( sorry Tom to use your name!!!)Mayo CLONE, it says a "custom design by Knifeworld and the pic at first glance looks EXACTLY like a REAL DEAL TNT. WHO IS KNIFEWORLD anyway????????wolf

Yeah, see thats what I thought. knifeworld is a knife magazine.....NOPE, they are being purported to custom design knives on the BA for one specific SELLER and, well go look, you guys KNOW far more than me, You tell me. This looks like slime to me.......wolf

The publication - Knifeworld has nothing to do with what you are seeing. The only knives I have ever seen them promote are commerative contract knives of high quality. (usually a once a year Knife World commerative). (examples such are Cripple Creek, Queen and Case).

There is no way the folks at KW would be involved in some type of shady situation and I'll put my rep. up for what little that is worth with that statement.

Please do not confuse whatever is going on with a seller at BA with the editors and publishers at Knife World.

I agree with Gus, Kinfeworld is a first class newspaper about the knives in general.
I look forward to each edition as there is always something in it for the slipjoint
fan unike most othe knife mags that pander to the one hand wonder tactical knife
fan. There is always more to like in Knifeworld.

Let me assure everyone that KNIFE WORLD Magazine and Knife World Publications have nothing whatsoever to do with the shady business under discussion. If someone would please point out to me who is using this name and where we can find them, I would very much like to have a look-see (and call in the lawyers if necessary.) My email address is knifepub@knifeworld.com.

KNIFE WORLD has in fact NOT endorsed any knives other than the four commemorative KW knives issued over the last 25 years and the two knives issued to our "Ambassadors" (lifetime subscribers). These knives were issued by Cripple Creek, Fight'n Rooster, and Winchester. If you're curious, photos of them can be found on our website.

If you're not familiar with KNIFE WORLD magazine or our book division, Knife World Books, may I humbly suggest you visit our website (http://www.knifeworld.com) for a closer look at both. I think the postings from those familiar with what we do speak for themselves.

Then Why in God's name are WE gonna let a snake, my favorite SELLER who demands her shipping charges EVENTHOUGH the knife was Never to be shipped have on WWW.bladeauction.com many knives that say "custom designed by KNIFEWORLD" and they are REPLICAS of TNT's Cobras, MT's and a few Custom Makers???? I say it is clearly a patent infringem, ent and way way way over the line into a legal issue. Yeah, I want blood now over a buck??? NOPE, I do however see custom design by Knifeworld, see what looks EXACTLY like a TNT and know at 21 bucks its a POS. BUT BUT it's SLIME......wolf

You may well be correct about the legal issues, but most knife companies find it more of a pain in the butt to go after companies for making knock-offs. It costs a huge amount of money.

Knifeworld may want to go after these people, who knows. they have to know about them first, so maybe you should email the info to them.

N2, there are quite a few others that add 'custom design by knifeworld" Knifeworld as one word, then the same but Knife world is two worlds. Sure, most of us now they are replicas, but I would think the use of knife world's name is an issue and the design replication of custom knives made by guys who really put their hearts in their work might get just a little PO'd if some NEWBIE thought he/she was getting a "Custom design by knifeworld" and it looks EXACTLY like a R. Dalton and they believe it is thru Knifeworld. Slime tactics???? Yup. Now I know why this SELLER wants my 7 bucks before she will let me give her 200 bucks for a Dalton....DUH???????wolf

I add, I hope EVERYONE goes to the site and clicks on "Sellers other auctions" look at the sleeze.......wolf

Mark Z. Please ........Go after these folk;s that have soiled Knifeworld's reputation.
BOY! Is this a bummer or what!!

It is pure crap. you go to "other auctions" on this site and every other knife has "knifeworld" SOMEWHERE in the write-up. Then terms like "knifeworld has really shined on this beautiful design" and it is clearly a famous maker's work. Then the Custom Design by KNIFEWORLD that really shows their "dynamite work" and there is a pair of Dalton REPLICAS!!!!! Slime=CRIME!!!!!!!
God Bless the USA and may all our brave men and women be safe.
wolf

I just hope Knife World and their Lawyers take action. This con game hurts collectors and cons hard working people who just do not have money to pee away. Time someone sticks it up a crooks butt!!!!!wolf
