Some may not be a fan of Tom Cruise, but I really enjoyed this
movie a great deal, just a lot of action, sprinkled with humor too.
Now it is REALLY over the top in some of the action parts, but hey,
it's a movie ;) so sit back, relax and enjoy!

The idea of being locked in a room with Tom Cruise -- even an image of him -- for two hours does not appeal to me.

I got some pics of the filming from my office.

Unfortunately that was more satisfying than the film itself.

A pic of Cameron Diaz being friendly.

I was watching this earlier with a friend, but she passed out, so I took her home. Guess I'll have to give it another go.

Not a Tom Cruise fan, but I liked the movie a lot. Good chemistry between Cruise and Diaz. Funny pairing of a super agent who drags an unsuspecting "citizen" into the nefarious uber spy world - which turns out to be as crazy as a Hollywood cliche. Sort of a take off of another very underrated funny spy movie, "Real Men" which was a take off of the hilarious spy movie "The In Laws". K and D could have benefitted from a punchier score but it was funny and entertaining..

Knight and Day seemed all set up for a sequal. Poor box office receipts will probably make that a non-starter. Too bad.

Thanks for the heads up - I added it to my movie list.

Tom Cruise is hit or miss for me but I'll give it a whirl.

jfn, that's pretty cool to be able to sneak in some photos! Got any more??? :)

And yeah, I know Tom Cruise might have burnt bridges for some folks and they
refuse to watch him in anything, but that's why I put the post, it might be
worth your rental to watch it as it's a pretty fun romp. When I first saw
just the splash ad, no video, I thought, hmm dunno about that one, didn't
think I'd even rent it, but glad I did.

edited to add, panella, it's hard not to like Real Men too, funny stuff, more slap stick
comedy in that one. Clown attacks, russsian's taking a break during shooting and
of course, Belushi's dad was pretty funny...." call me..."

Cruise may be a Scientology lunatic, but his acting chops are OK. This looked like fun and I'll likely download it.
I watch Top Gear a lot, and they had Cruise and Diaz on the show to drive their "reasonably priced car". Did pretty well, the both of 'em.
Jeremy swore that Diaz fell in love with him....

That pic was the best one. Their security weren't letting people close at all.

I remember getting to work that day and some guy was all "sorry I can't let you go through."
I think i was in a bad mood or something; I told him I work here and was about to to walk right past him until he asked me to wait until they cut.
That's how I almost became an extra in K+D :)

Gary,

Yeah, "Real Men" is an under-appreciated gem. It always cracks me up. Guys "get it" but women (like my wife) don't seem to like the humor as much. I mean, what's not to like about aliens saving the world in return for a glass of water? The good bottled kind. Go figure

I'll have to pick up a copy for my wife, she likes that style of movie (action, a little humor, a little love interest).

I enjoy movies if they deliver what I expect, even if they aren't good. For example, we watched the Green Hornet this weekend. It was an awful movie. I hated the lead character, who apparently thinks he is Will Farrell's little brother.

But, it was a cheesy, action flick with some funny parts, which was just what I was expecting, therefore, I was satisfied with it.

I enjoyed it.

I use to be a fan of Tom Cruise... but now every time I see him in a movie I just keep saying "hey that's Tom Cruise" and have a hard time seeing him as a character in a movie.

Probably because how much attention has been placed on him in the media.
Because he was good in Mission Impossible. :)

I always enjoy Cameron Diaz though. Good actress I think.

There are several of his movies I liked;

Knight and Day (of course ;) )
Mission Impossible 1 and 3, didn't care much for the second one for some reason
Collateral
The Last Samurai
Minority Report
Risky Business

The rest not so much, some were marginal, for my tastes at least.

G2, I liked all of those - and like you said above, 'it's a movie, so sit back, relax and enjoy!' That works for me...
