I know you guys saw this knife on Coop's fantastic thread on the knives from the Blade show but Paul just sent me pics of the new sheath and I thought I should post it. I have to thank STeven again he reached out awhile back to Jason and told him I was coming and I had always had a hankering for one of Jason's big fighters . I think Jason owns this style of fighter and I was dissapointed to find out that he was going to be on lottery. Well STeven had at least given me an intro to Jason and I found him the first morning and was very pleased to hear he was not on lottery and I snagged this Big Random Dog Star pattern blackwood fighter. Thanks Steven for the intro and Thanks Jason for selling me the knife. Jason is a great guy and alot of fun to hang out with. The specs on this knife are a 10 inch blade that is slightly over .30 at the guard. Nice distel taper and supriseingly light in the hand for a knife of this size. Very fast knife. The Handle feels very good and everything about this knife is super clean. I saw this knife at the begining of the show then it went to the talented Mr. Cooper. From what I understand from Jason this knife is going to be in a magazine. I got it back at the end of the show and it went to Mr. Long so I have not really been able to spend much time with this knife so I will give you guy's more impressions of this knife when I spend some time handleing it. I was with Paul and Kevin I believe at dinner when I forget who suggested plain black shark for this knife. Even though I have not seen it in person yet I know i will not be dissapointed with Paul's work simply put he is the best. I sent him my last damascus stud to match the blade and I am excited to get it back. jason's sheath is very well made but was a tad loose so the ever creative Pappy Long sewed a keeper strap on it that I think worked out fantastic and I am sure will make for a great hard use sheath if the need would arise. Big thanks to Jason and Paul. My Gunsmith turned this stud out of a piece of Damascus from Jerry Fisk. Thanks guy's. Thanks Coop for letting me use your pic for this thread your work truly humbles my meager photographic skills. Now I feel I need to have all my knives done by you.:D

Joe, awesome scores from Blade this year!
Love Jason's handles on his stylish fighters.
As always, sheath perfection from Paul.

Sweet knife. If I had the money at the time, I would have grabbed its little bro.

I saw that knife when it was just the blade and coveted it heavily. I am glad he went with blackwood. It lets the steel speak for itself. Now you need a real big honking one.

Jason is the best at what he does. He doesn't make folders, kitchen knives, and rarely makes a hunter anymore for people other than locals. He is a bowie master. His heavy focus on fighters and bowies has given him an eye for design in the format that very few have.

That sheath complete's the package. Paul certainly does it right! The steel on that knife is slayin' me, I love it. You landed some great knives at the show this year Joe!

Holy Moly, Joe! Thanks for sharing this! What a treat!

The beautiful black sheath is the White House of the beautiful fighter-The other sheath is the gottage of mountain -I don't have words to express their beauty -They have made me think about Juliet and Romeo that are found again after so many centuries-
All perfect!!!

Joe,

Jason has that eye for Fighters, and this is a fine example. Paul's got it for sheaths, too. A perfect match, and the stud tops it off. Good shot!
