Fantastic knife - I'm sure there must be a story behind it. ;) Maybe when all the slots are... um.. I mean... maybe at some future date you can add that intro back in. :) It was certainly very much worth reading.

As for the mods - doing what they tell you to do is the right move. Always. As for the "other folks" - I'd like to tell them what to do, but then this is the play nice forum. Did I mention that was a great knife?

Nice! Great lines as always.

And that skin Paul used came from Canada.. Or maybe that's what you meant? :p I guess Hell hath frozen over after all. :D

What did I miss?
What are you dealing?
What materials are available?
When is the assignment due?
Will you be grading on a curve?

:eek::jerkit::foot::D

Obviously stout thickness at the ricasso and with a radical distal taper--just wondering what that knife weighs?

Will I don't have a weight on this piece as of yet

It went to Paul and then to Coop when it arrrives home this coming week I will weight it and post up the results

Due to the radical Distal taper I think the physical weight will be a mute point and all will be amazed at how this knife moves in the hand and changes direction effortlessly

I recieved the pics from Coop today and as usual I am amazed at his artistry..... Thank you Jim

The knife is gorgeous and Pauls sheath is a work of practical art

I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I have enjoyed this project and I have enjoyed working with these artists more than words can say

Thank you all so much

By the way look at the blade thickness at the guard............................. Just awesome :D

Yoiks.!! Now that is why Jason has "Master" after his name.

Beautiful sheath too Paul.. You really get the best out of that beaver tail.

The pics... man.... so so nice..

Absolutely--I didn't mean to suggest the weight would be cumbersome, and because of the acute distal taper I didn't think it would be. I was thinking more about how that geometry might enable control of significantly more heft than a conventional blade grind would, because as weight is distributed out along the length of a conventional blade it tends to slow the blade down. The potential here for combining heft and speed greatly appeals to me. I was curious as to just how much weight Jason had been able to retain in the piece.

Amazing photos, by the way. Everything about that handle from the apparent control/comfort/security of the contours to how the grain pops on that black-dyed tiger maple--all very exciting. And I see now what appears to be just a hint of a harpoon hook at the top of the clip? That is a mean and sexy look, yet so subtle. Tremendous package, and the sheath really sets it off. Congratulations to you and Jason both on a stellar project brought to life. And to Paul for putting the presentation over the top.

Thanks Will you have a keen eye and I really apreciate your comments. Thanks so much and I really enjoyed speaking with you the other day.
