The work has commenced on the sheaths. I received Mike Starr's fighter to use as a test fit knife for all the sheaths and as you can see it's finished per Mike's request. Ellis, Castor, Dawkins, Wright,Sexton, Richardson, Heger, and Connally, you guys can expect your sheaths fairly quickly. I'm thinking probably they will all be gone by next Tuesday or so, maybe sooner. Thanks.

Very nice :)

I believe half of these are done and either mailed or in line to mail

Thanks everyone

BTW this knife has turned out to be one of my favorite knives

I had it on all day doing deer drives and I love it :)

Thanks for the update, Paul, and you look ready for business buddy. :)

Happy New Year!

Thanks for the update Paul! Joe, with that knife and warpaint you probably scared them all the way to the midwest :D

This knife and sheath are my Christmas present to myself. What a way to start 2014...Knight/Paranee Fighter wrapped in a Paul Long sheath. It doesn't get better than that. Thank you guys

Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year to all on the forum!

Joe & Paul - Thank you guys for sharing these projects with us. It's so immensely enjoyable seeing them progress from design to forging to sheaths.

On another note I was able to score my first Knight and it's now en route. Once it lands I'll get some photos to share with you guys.

Looking forward to it and thank you for the kind words

Joe I would love to see some photos of the blade after you use it. I would assume its already been collecting some character marks since you've had it..? What functions does it usually serve? Is it more to have something for protection should a situation arise, or are you using it to chop like a camp knife or other utilitarian jobs? I am very curious about this stuff. I may see if I can get one from Jason some time in the future and would love to know what kind of experience or use you guys have with them.

Great news to start the New Year, Paul, and big Thanks to the Joe/Jason A Team !

Again. :)

Jon

On a day like the above pic I am using it to trim shooting lanes

Meaning when I get setup for the push I usually back myself up into a tree or other vegetation

I use the knife to quickly clear some shooting lanes

It pops branches just as quickly as it pops those paper towel tubes in my original video

As for showing wear

I am anul about gear maintain and I keep the blade covered in tough glide

After a day in the field a wipe it down well and recover with a rust preventative

As of know the blade looks like new

Thanks for the update, I love it when these projects start to come together!

Happy New Year

Thanks for the update, Paul.
Hey Joe, thanks for putting this together.
And Jason, thanks for giving up your knife.

Happy New Year to everyone!

I finished up the last one this afternoon. They will be invoiced and boxed for mailing and then be on their way tomorrow morning when the Post Office opens (Friday Morning 1/3/14). Thanks to all. I hope you enjoy.

Cool picture of the sheaths together. Reminds me of piranha. Looks as though the static line hole was a popular option.

Great angle, lighting, and colors of the knife on the fruit! Can't wait to get mine in my grubby hands.

The sheaths are all ON THE WAY to their new homes.. Thanks again.
