Since this info is now published I am free to post it here .Mecha is working on knitted Ti for use in "Chain Mail " .He does need some more practice learning to knit !

Nitinol tires, hey not a bad idea. I'll leave the ti knitting to an industrial machine!

When it first came out I was fascinated and begged and pleaded for a sample .Jus a piece of wire but I had lots of fun watching the looks on the faces as the wire , with a little heat transforms back to the original shape !! There have been many applications for it since . It involves the metallurgical transformation to and from martensite !
