Which shealth options available for F1GM?
Thanks for your attetion

Hi, is it a Fallkniven F1 ( thermorun handle) and F1m ( micarta handle
you are talking about ?

Hi!
F1 GM (GM mean Green Micarta) is made of the same steel than "normal" F1, VG10 steel (laminated VG10 for the new models).
They're both "full tang" construction. The only real difference is the grip, micarta vs thermorun, the weight (the GM is 50 grammes heavier) and the GM's blade is 3 millimeter longer.
The GM model is sold with a closed leather sheath, I don't know if it will fit in the classic F1's kydex sheath because of the 3 millimeter's difference.
They sure perform as well both!
I own personaly a A1 and a WM1 and I'm about to buy a F1.They're great knifes and very very very strong knives!Believe me this knives are in knives what Volvo is in car!

Clinch Mountain Outfitters carries the F1GM. Their order from Fallkniven is on-route and should be available here in the USA in approx. 2 weeks. It's listed on their website for $175.

The F1GM has a laminated VG10 & 420 steel blade. The F1 blade is VG10 only - not laminated.

The website photos show what appears to be a mirror polish on the F1GM vs. a brushed finish on the regular F1.

The regular F1 is an excellent knife that has a proven track record. My only dislike about it is the handle...it works well but I think it's boring!

The stainless steel guard and green micarta handle on the F1GM is more to my liking but these materials also make it a heavier knife.

The bare blades will also be available in approx. 2 weeks. Only problem with them is that they are fairly pricey. The F1 blade is approx. $66.00. I believe knifeoutlet.com has the regular F1 with sheath for the same price. Buy the finished knife!

They also have another new knife similar to the F1 but with stacked leather handle from their "Northern Light Series".

The best value is the regular F1 from www.knifeoutlet.com if you can live with the boring handle!

I personally prefer the F1GM with steel guard & green micarta and I can't wait till my order comes in!

You are correct, the current manufactured F1's are laminated.

I don't know if there is a price increase for the laminated version but there is plenty of inventory of F1's and S1's here in the US that are VG10 only.

The F1 VG10 only blade is a very sturdy knife. I don't think I could ever break that blade.

If anyone thinks they will abuse their F1 enough to break it I would recommend the S1. Longer blade but with more spine but both are virtually indestructible.

Pick the one you like and you won't be disapointed.

I should warn you that you will probably end up buying others once you see the quality.

Cheers,
