Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'll have a go!
I've been knife crazy since my Father gave me my first Sheffield made folder when I was 6.
Then when I was 13, I bought Knives '87. Seeing the work of makers such as Jimmy Lile, Bill Moran & Bob Loveless, made me want to make knives too.
I've been practising since then (!) and have recently posted some on three different forums (including the "general" gallery on here)with some good feedback so far.
My one ambition is to have some of my work pictured in the Knives annual book. I'm not sure if my work is good enough to be featured, and even if it were, how would I go about it?
Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

All you have to have is a knife that *somehow* stands apart from the crowd. This is the hardest part. Or a story about it that also does.

At that point, make sure you have a good clear photograph of it. You can do it yourself, too. Look in the this post for an example of a quick and effective light tent.

Locally in the UK, Kam Singh is doing really good work in photography. I suggest you might want to contact him. (http://www.kamsinghphotography.com/)

Lastly, send your work directly to the Knives Annuals editor, Joe Kertzman. He is the top man in charge. (joe.kertzman AT fwpubs DOT com)

There you go!
