All bushcraft with Scandi grind, maple, cocobola, and black micarta. Top two are about 8 13/16 OAL. Little one is 6 15/16 OAL with 3 1/4 inch blade. That's all the bushcrafts left in this batch. Thanks again for looking at these.
Thanks all. I got that maple off Ebay some time back and had WSSI stabilize it. Danish oil in Natural brought the grain out pretty darn well.
Marcel, they are flat grinds. There are no secondary bevels and the bevel goes all the way to a zero edge (Scandi). Each side of blade is equally beveled.
Sharp enough to cut. Almost but not all the way there. Sharp enough that only the post HT clean up puts the shaving edge on. I finish with a light buffing and hand finish to 400 grit. It leaves a little bit of a toothy edge, great for cutting. Grinding these is good nerve excercise and can put a big dent in a case of beer. I can't do that part any more though. I quite 69 days ago.
Roger, I don't know why I didn't see those beauties before now. Those are some great Scandis, fella! When you said,"quit", was that meaning you quit eating ice cream? Sorry, Roger, I hadda get a chuckle/poke in there, too.
