I got some great knives this year. I feel very blessed that I was able to do so. Here are mine. Let's see some other new steel from 2016.

I will admit i do need some dirt time pics. They aren't always this pretty.

Have you had those Sh@rp scales for a long time, or is he back in the Becker scale-making business? I was thinking I had the only set of large scales out there, but obviously not. I rotate mine between my 2, 4 and 9.

On-topic, I acquired my BK21 in 2016. 'Fraid that's it, but it does the work of five other knives, so I actually saved money! HA! Also got a 710 sheath and piggybacked my BK14 with another 710 sheath. Kinda mixed metaphors I suppose when it comes to materials and finishes, but out here in Dead Cell Holler we ain't runnin' no fashion shows. These knives work almost daily, and JD's sheaths keep 'em comfy and easy to get to in-between uses.

Don't know if it counts or not, but I did pay for a sheath in 2016 that I won't get for another week or two (or whenever, JD is busy these days!). When I get this bad-boy, all my Beckers will have top-'o-the-line custom sheaths:

In your first pic, that's an original Reinhardt/Becker Kukuri, isn't it? Nice lookin' blade either way.

That is awesome man, Congrats! I love JD's work. I need to get one or a few of his sheaths one day. Yes i have had these scales for a little while now. I didn't get them from sh@rp directly but off the bay. The same guy sold a set of full size sh@rp Punisher scales too. Still sad i missed out on those. They really are works of art that work. So unique. Yes that's a Blackjack Reinhardt Combat kukri. It is my second one. The first one i have is near mint so i jumped at the chance to find this used one for a heck of a good price. It is an absolute beast. That sheath for the 9 really looks amazing. Very nice indeed.

This is the only knife I bought in 2016. I feel a bit unworthy posting it here. It's a Buck 119.

Hell yeah that is really nice. I really like that blade profile. It looks nice and sharp.

I've thought very seriously about getting one of those for an EDC. I have EDC'ed folders all my life, but finally came to the conclusion that carrying a tool with a built-in designed breaking point just wasn't for me. I tried EDC'ing that BK14 pictured above piggybacked on the BK21 sheath, as well as a CRKT Ryan Plan B that JD made a twin sheath for, but both blades are shorter than most of the folders I usually carry, and I hardly ever go to town anymore and won't be freakin' out the sheeple wearin' something like that on my hip. They're nothing particularly special, but I do like the sheaths that Buck puts with that package too. Punch a few holes in it and tie some Indian-style fringe through 'em, and you've got a pretty nice lookin' sheath and knife combo. I'm not crazy about 400 series stainless steels, but hey, where else can you get into a nice lookin' knife with a hilt, a leather sheath, and a lifetime warranty for around $60 bucks delivered?

No reason at all to feel unworthy to post that. It's a great knife. I still keep my Folding Hunter in my get-home bag in the Jeep. Had it for well over 35 years, might even be over 40 years now. Don't use it much anymore, but it's like one of those old friends you only see every few years and pick up right where you left off.

2016 was kinda slow knife-wise. Really didn't have plans or $$$ for the hobby, and lots of other stuff going on.
So all I got were the discontinued BK's:
4, 5, 17 and 20.
(I think I picked up the 15 in late 2015.)
4, 5 and 15 still NIB; 20 lightly used; 17 just beginning to think about mods.
So pics, at this point, wouldn't show much you haven't seen.

Nothing wrong with that 119!
I've had a 102 for about 36 years now.
I'd just as soon EDC a BK-16, though.
