O.K. this may have been made before but i thought it may be a good idea that we can share stories of how knives played an importent role in our childhood or some of the adventures we had with them.

I rember about age 12 i would always go outside anf play with throwing stars. And when i was twelve my friend and i would try to make a bridge in the creek and i would use my bayonet to try to cut down limbs of the trees.

Two reasons from the past for my current hobby:

#1 My childhood habit of losing everything that wasn't stapled to my forehead created my mania for saving knives. Every time I carried a knife, I'd lose it. So I started keeping them in a safe place, setting them aside and never using them. That habit has morphed into my current Accumulation of over 250 knives.

#2 My grandfather always had a cigar box full of pocketknives. Some were promotional advertising, some were gifts, and some were knives he found. It was always a treat when he'd pull that box off the shelf and show them to us.

I used a knife everyday from age 8 on as we lived in a rural area. When we moved into a large metro-area when I was 13 most of my friends thought it was strange that I carried a knife. I think it helped develop a since of responsibility. I have only lost one knife and that was because the clip caught broke and fell out of my pocket.
