Colibri V cutter. Ruining a cigar with a pocket knife is the last thing I'd do.
I started smoking cigars about '72 when I was a teen. Back then, Swisher Sweets, Hava-Tampa, and then onto A&C Grenadiers. All were "pre-drilled". I was given a Romeo & Juliet the size of a Louisville slugger by a guy that smoked a lot of good/fine cigars, and that started me on the road to "smoke better, not more".
In the early 80s we had a cigar shop open that had a great owner and he guided me through the cigars of the world. Great guy, RIP. Back then I always had a knife in my pocket that was reserved to cut my cigars and nothing else. Usually a CASE stockman with a stropped spey blade. I could easily make my V cut, and was happy to have my gear in my pocket wherever I went.
Fast forward to now and even in good cigars like Davidoff, AVO, etc., you find an occasional stem. No matter how sharp my knife is, a tough stem can ruin the cap. About 4-5 years ago I got one of those Colibri V cutters, and I have to say

I have to agree. That little cutter takes care of my good cigars and my workday dog rockets with no problems. To me it is a must have piece of kit.
BTW, I am sitting in a cigar lounge now doing paperwork and smoking a CRUX 60 ring Bull and Bear. Pretty good stick, comes in at $10 plus tax.
