Nice system, I like the carabiner idea. What is the fixed blade in your picture? Looks really well designed and useful.I'm fond of the zeppelin bend myself. I use it for making the short fobs girth hitched to a carabineer that I favor over pocket clips.View attachment 2126625
Recycled picture, but you can get the idea.
Thank you. It was originally a one off byNice system, I like the carabiner idea. What is the fixed blade in your picture? Looks really well designed and useful.
The zeppelin is technically a bend, which joins two pieces of cordage together. In this case specifically, they have to be the same diameter and type or it won't work right. In that it's almost impossible to untie after a load. I also use it when we have a tip line that's too short when falling trees. It's nice to be able to untie them after you're done, a sheet bend will capsize under a heavy load, and other bends have a tendency to set too tight.Diamond hitch and (Led) zeppelin hitch... good stuff, I didn't know about them before! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, your right... I mistyped. I appreciate your expertise, I take it you are an arborist? The zeppelin is technically a bend, which joins two pieces of cordage together.
