Here are a few things I've been working on over the last few months. As you can see, I still make knives, but I occasionally get distracted along the way. I also just finished converting a fridge to a kegerator and building it into my wet bar, and took a 5 week trip (for work) to West Africa. It's been busy, but mostly in a good way.

All of the knives have sold, but some of the pens are available on my website, linked below in my signature.

The pens or the knives? The pens with wood and the Kiawe hunter are finished with superglue, which is the bee's knees finish of the pen world. Honestly, my results with CA on knives have been less successful than my results on pens, but the Kiawe one in the picture is about as good as they come for that kind of finish. The amboyna burl hunter is finished with Tru-Oil, which is my usual finish for woods on knives. Whether CA on wood or acrylic by itself, the pen folks use this stuff called MicroMesh, which is basically really really fine sandpaper. It comes in a stack of 8 progressively finer grits, 1500 up to 12000. I follow the 12000 with Novus #2 scratch remover or Flitz, and the finish really pops. I've not tried that on a knife; I usually use my buffer.

Very nice work Travis.
West Africa? I'm happy when I get to go to Texas!
My Best,
Dozier
