My skiing days are over since I blew my knee out several years ago. :(

Great pics, nice knife!

i feel your pain, i broke my ankle joint and three metatarsal bones four years ago in a motorcycle accident and had to quit skiing for three years.

my first attempt at building an igloo before the blizzard came in.

When I was a younger skier, all the ski magazines were pushing Swedish barrel knives. They were pretty good for whacking up fruit, meat, and cheese. However, the slow deployment wouldn’t let you cut a scarf that was tangled in the lift. Also, it didn’t feel that good if you fell on one in your pocket.View attachment 1719853View attachment 1719856

i used to live in northern sweden for 5 years and always wanted to buy one of those.never found one..

found plenty of other knives and tools in second hand shops.

i would not want to fall on one of those

GAGL GAGL Guess we'll be having the BladeForums Mid-Winter Ski Conference at your house this year.
haha,feel free to visit

Gorgeous! We hiked at Murren several summers ago. Always good to have a sturdy blade with you; you never know when you might have to cut/dig yourself out of a tricky situation.

Bernese mountains are something else. i want to spend some time there this winter.

They pop up on the bay, but they’re usually beat up and overpriced.

That is the Marbles Li'l Handy from about 1999. It was an AG Russell exclusive.
The dark lens Julbos are about 35 years old now, the yellow ones are new. The older ones are better.....

Kellam? Don't waste your money. Kellam sources its knives from outside. Many of the puukko types are made by Ahti and are cheaper if you buy them direct.
