Yeah, you could say I'm happy.
Even though the Benchmade dive knife BM100SH2O is still on back-order, my new AFCK and my two Mini Pit Bulls came yesterday, and they're all awesome!

I have to say that I'm more excited and pleased with the Mini Pit Bulls than even the AFCK! Granted, all the knives come with a "factory edge" that is NOT -- repeat NOT -- acceptably sharp to me (I've already resharpened one MPB and the AFCK,) the designs are so superb. The real reason I love the MPB so much is that it is exactly like a shrunken down, manageably-sized fixe blade utility knife. The blade shape is ideal, the handle is ideal -- EVERYTHING about it is ideal. Once I put a nasty shaving-sharp edge on it, it became my absolute favorite of all my knives.

Some of you are saying, "How could a $28 knife be his favorite? He must simply not own some real top-quality knives." That much is true. The AFCK is now my most expensive knife at $95, and I don't own any customs or anything bejeweled or whatever. I'm a fan of workaday knives, not flashy/fancy ones. The belt/neck sheath setup along with the strong and simple MPB design make for a knife that I will never be without, from now on. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ONE TO ALL. :)

I really want that mini pit, looks ideal to me.
I'm the same way with my outdoor edge wedge and wedge II they are real keepers even among knives costing me $200 or so. I love great designs in a cheap package...$15 and the wedge II kicks major a$$ too.

You really need to get this knife, particularly if you were already thinking of it. The design is awesome. It's nice and thick, thicker than most folders of this size. It definitely feels "mini" in the hand, but it's a lot of knife nonetheless.

The sheath is plastic with holes to use for neck-suspension, but has a removable plastic clip for belt wear. That's how I have it on right now, btw -- on my belt, under my shirt. The clip feels secure and strong, and can even be reversed for inverted carry! It's not designed for boot carry, however.

The knife is actually a little heavy for a neck knife, I think. That may be because I've become used to having a CRKT Neck Peck there and that thing is almost weightless!

The sheath holds the knife quite securely. The knife goes in with a little push and you can feel it set. It takes a little doing to get it out, but it can be done with one hand by pushing the sheath with your thumb, just over the thumb choil on the spine.

Timberline really seems to have something here... :)
Who's this "Lightfoot" who designed the knife? Anyone know of other stuff by him? A man after my own heart...

I've become quite a fan of the Mini-Pitbull myself. definitely a well designed knife. I slightly modified the sheath to mine so I could put a Tek-Lock on it, and now carry it horizontally just left of my belt buckle. Definitely a very handy set up. When I first saw mine on a shelf here in Anchorage for $35 I snatched it up so fast I'm pretty sure my hand was a blur. Paid more for it than I needed to, but I don't feel cheated in the least. A stout, well designed little blade that ya' aren't afraid to use. I never fully appreciated all the remarks I'd heard about the "flow" of Greg Lightfoots designs until I'd checked out his table at the Alaska Knife show. Was so Impressed I spent money I didn't have on one of his original MPB's...Then traded it off in a fit of stupidity. Incidentally the AFCK and the Mini-Pit are my two most frequently carried knives. Gotta love 'em both!
