Being a knife knut, as many of the people on this forum are, I tend to get knives from people all the time, as gifts, someone found this knife in their grandads dresser drawer, knew I collected knives and gave it to me, or someone finds a knife in the woods or while fishing, and figured I'd like it, and so on.

The three knives that I didn't buy myself, that mean the most to me, are the Spyderco Worker my wife had engraved,"13Together Forever69", about 20 years ago, an OTF little switchblade my than 9 year old daughter brought back from a cross country road trip she made with my mom, and last but not least a Puma White Hunter that belonged to my dad, my mom gave it to me after he was killed in a plane crash back in 75'.

With close to 300 knives in my collection these three are without a doubt my all time favs.

the battered old fake SAK my dad got with the petrol 'points' from the filling station. he gave it me when I was about 10 and I still have it. I cut more stuff up with that than with any other knife I own I think! and also an interesting one from West Germany (when there was still such a place) my dad got me when I was younger. Unfortunately he now refuses to buy me anything with a blade as apparently I have too many...

When he asked what I wanted for my 21st birthday (with the condition it was 'something to remember') I immediately suggested something nice (and pointy) like a benchmade 770 with c/f handles or something else along those lines but he refused and I ended up with a microwave instead!

I've given several knives to others as gifts. However, the only one I ever received was a dandy Ruana Bowie with an elkhorn handle and a 12 inch hand-forged blade (3/8" thick) with a hammered brass strip down the back. Harder to believe was that I received it from my ex-wife, and the occasion was to celebrate our divorce!

Oh, well, I gave her a huge, (several gallon) engraved, decorative bottle of Glenfiddich scotch mounted on a wooden base with a fancy pouring mechanism on the same occasion.

Well for this the one that means the most to me would be my BM 350 that I got for Christmas from my girlfriend. She had it engraved which makes it more personal. Kinda nice for this 'gents' knife.

Also another that stands out is an SAK Camper that my dad got for me 12 years ago. It was my first knife.

I've gotten several other production folders as gifts but none that stand out like the above two.
