Knives as tools and the media

Yesterday, I was looking at the prep for the inauguration, and there was a short segment on florists, and the billion dollars of flowers they were arranging. every single person that ABC talked to was holding a knife. They were obviously florists knives-pruning blades, and also appeared to be SAKs, as the handles were mostly red. I thought it was amazing for once.

Yeah, but there's a big difference between their innocuous presence in a report that never draws attention to them, and reports that draw heavy attention to them and cast them as deadly weapons.

Sheeple aren't going to see obvious evidence, right under their noses, that is contrary to the indoctrination they've soaked up, because they choose not to see it. Then if it is pointed out, they'll just form a rationalization that makes florists an exception or something, but maintains their own illusions, because that's all they have to base their view of reality on.

Ummm... somebody else can have the soapbox now...

On second thought, what would have been impressive is if at least one florist was using a butterfly knife or some other kind of knife that generally carries a stigma in the eyes of sheeple. That might have actually helped our side when such details are pointed out.

Probably these: the grafter, the pruner, and the gardener.

Nice knives, lightweight utility, like pen knives. I've been tempted.

For activities botanical I prefer my CS Ti-Lite. Can't beat that point for really fine cutting tasks.

Now there's a knife that makes lots of people jumpy.

People can be too easily swayed by the media. A shame that media so anti-gun and anti-knife. Knives are easily one of the most important tools.

A knife is a tool first and foremost except when the media is involved. They along with the Hollywood crowd view a knife as weapon first then a tool.

Knives get a bad rap due to the way some are advertised. The imported knock offs are the worst offenders. Some knife people are their own worst enemy by displaying knives in public that are inappropriate for the task. The average SAK is not viewed the same as a tactical folder in a Fortune 500 enviroment.
