Knives bad luck as wedding gift?

I didn't think so....but I gave a set of Victorinox/Forchner kitchen knives, a Mac Santoku and a Spydeco Sharpmaker...and now the groom-to-be has 6 sutures in his hand

I guess I better get a penny from him to ward off future maladies, eh?

No it's not bad luck but be careful if he gives you a chainsaw for your aniversary

i dont think so, i know my mother gives a good set of kitchen knives a wedding gifts quite often

I guess in some cultures it's seen as "cutting" your friendship. That's why the penny is required, so that it's a "purchase."
