Inspired by this thread. Here have some pictures I took for knives made by ABS MS burt foster.

Burt is one of my favorite ABS maker. His work is excellent!

Please join and post pictures of your foster knives. :)

I like Burt's work. I guessed the tapered tang should lightened the handle part of the knife.

Joe.

Is the O1 Blue Collar Hunter having a brushed finish blade? It's a beauty!

Those are all GREAT looking!! I LOVE the 52100 Blue Collar and the Backpacker!

Burt's work is great, and the man himself is good to work with. Here's an integral dagger he made for me:

WoW. That hamon is outstanding.

Another great thing about knife forums is it gives collectors access to a maker's work that they may not receive otherwise.
I was not into makers work such as Bert, Russ Andrews, Don Hanson and many others before being exposed to them here.

Here's my Burt Foster bowie,it has a Kenny Rowe sheath now.Joss That Integral dagger is Freakin' Sweet.

First, a full integral bowie:

Second, a great camp knife with unusual lines. Burt calls this his "swasbuckling camp".

This thread is GREAT! Many wonderful foster knives you got there.
Please keep them coming.

Joss,
I remembered this "swasbuckling camp". NICE!!

mohd,
Yes the blue collar hunter has brushed finish blade.

Here is a box elder burl drop point hunter I have of Burt's. That W2 bowie and the back packer would look good laying next to it. :D

Burt's work is inspiring! I think he is one of the best makers in the business. Just look at the diversity of construction not to mention his mastery over the steel. Lin

Burt's designs are very refined and his execution is always superb. More than that, he's versatile.

Burt will be presenting at the New Northeast Hammer-in this July. I've been working on the agenda for the hammer-in and have been running into diffficulty choosing what to ask Burt to demonstrate - he does so many things so well!

Loving these pics. Joss' dagger is one of my favorites. I'm not generally a dagger fan, but I really dig that one.

Here is a terrific integral of Burt's:

And a pic that actually shows the hamon:

Date-stamping the blade is a great idea that I wish more people would copy:
