Knives by John Andrews (Ol'Hickery)

Coool: That Redskin really makes knives???? All this time I thought he was P'ing on my leg and telling me it was raining. Damn, if I had hair on the top of my head I would have to worry. John we are even now.:p :p :p :D :D

Hey, IG. You want to get on John's good side? Talk squarrel hunting with him. John thinks they're better than lobster:).

Thanks for posting the picture, Roger! And as for Mr.onery Ig, yep, I always have my ol' scalpin' knife! You will have to excuse my poor attempts at pictures, and Roger didn't have to much to work with because of what I sent him. Right on about the squirrel hunting, too.The blades are just a hair over 3/16 440C, hollow ground and mirror polished. Furniture is NC. Wood is stabilized Calif. buckeye burl and amboynia burl from our Lumber Lady. She was right on the money with the wood I needed for these two, bless her heart! Also, the knifes were Acra Glassed, bolsters too, with pins, and hidden pins under the scales.

SO THERE IG. I knew he had a special scalpin knife especially set aside for one of us. Send me some of that special hot sauce and I'll go over to your side IG!

John, I need to learn from you how to do hidden pins. We will be talking as time goes by and don't let me forget to ask about that.

RL

Talking about lobsters, I asked my Sweetheart what she wanted for Xmas Dinner and the answer was a New England Clam Boil ( Portuguese Style)with lobsters. Beats those tree rats ever time.:D :D :D
RL send me your address you turncoat.;) ;)

IG,that's only because all you feed that poor gal is little bottom crawling hard shelled bottom feeding buzzards. you need to feed her some of those heavenly little hairy nut/corn fed critters! Hey, seriously, is your HT relish good on seafood? Merry Christmas to all you, too! MISTER RASCAL! IG=good guy, and thankfully, good sense of humor, too!

John, the HT'g relish goes in almost everything I cook. I have been cutting it down because of Helen. The only thing I do not put it on is oatmeal, but then I don't eat oatmeal.:D :D
I just got done eatting and still have enough for at least five more people. I make up a Calmboil stew with the leftovers. I have dudes coming over tomorrow so they will be eatting good.
PS: you are invited and it still beats tree rats.:D :D

IG, now that I think you are really serious and that you really do make that relish - yes indeed I will be emailing you my address. I like spicy.

Thanks. RL

John you Redskin do you have a redhead scalp hanging on the side of your lodge??? If not I know where you can get one.:D :D

Those two look really nice! And you're right John, your pictures suck as bad as mine do! ;)

Man, I don't know about you guys eating squirrels... Down near the lake here the city built "Nutty Narrows" a squirrel bridge that crosses high over the road for squirrels in the park area. It's illegal to try to hurt them or kill them too.

Eat'n squirrel.... :barf: HAHAHAHAHA, around here we eat dead cow, chicken, and fish!!! :p :D :p

Nice knives though John! Just get us some more clear pics :)

at least he got hair IG :D

Hey John, those look great, but like Nick said your photography sucks bigger time then mine and mines real bad. Is that the stabilized buckeye from lumber lady or did you stabilize it yourself, very nice.
I'd sure like to see a clear picture of them.

Bill, yep, the Lumber Lady. I beat my brains out trying to come up with a natural blue color for one of the handle woods, and her wood was right on the money. IG, nope, no redhead scalps on my lodge pole! Dan hints your hair would look good, though! And those squirrels crossing on that special crossing sounds like my favorite kind of neighborhood! Also, if you haven't eaten fried squirrel and gravy, it is most unfortunate! Where did you say that crossing was.....? And thanks for the kind words, fellas! I am just getting back in the swing after being laid up for those 7 1/2 months.
