I had written to Rachel that the JBF Champlin had been a gift to me from Duncan as a thank you. It has been one of my only non-users, and I always thought of it as my "thank you knife". After Rachel's recent generosity to me, I felt that it was finally time to put the "thank you knife" to use.
The little Cutco knife was one of several that I recently saved from a trip to the dumpster. A dealer at an antique mall I was at was cleaning out his junk drawer and I was able to snag some old slipjoints out of his pile as he was heading out to the garbage. I thought it was a cool little novelty. You can barely make out where the 4-H logo was.
