Knives for corporate/promo use?

I'd love to get hooked up with someone who can provide promo materials for my company. I've got a couple of Swiss Army Knives from over the years with corporate logos printed on them and I'd like to do the same for my company to use as gifts to clients and employees and giveaways. I always thought it would be cool to have a knife with my company logo and colors on it.

Other than Swiss Army Knives, what else is out there where this is available? I'd be looking to do a cost per unit of under $25 or so.

There are a bunch of internet sites that claim to offer this, but I'd love to hear from someone with real world experience before I drop a lot of money on a company I've never heard of to do the work.

Anyone been down this road before?

You can get a Buck 425, a Case mini blackhorn, or Possibly even a Gerber ultralight LST.
The Buck and case are definitely common advertising knives.

Check out businesses in your area or online that are classified as “advertising novelty” businesses. They’re the manufacturer reps that can get you bumper stickers, buttons, banners, printed balloons, jackknives, printed sportswear, coffee cups and mugs and a million other such things. A good advertising novelty firm should be able to come up with multiple options for you immediately.

My wife went to a trade show in Vegas last year and came back with a Buck that had a company logo on it. I don't know if it was Buck doing it, or if it was another company that took the Buck Knives and put the logo on.

I collect Buck 112's I would look at the new Slim or LT's ..Inexpensive and a quality knife close to your price point. One of mine from the 90's I treasure the most is a brass frame Ebony handles with probably every option Buck offered. Finger grooves, pad print blade, lazer etched handle and engraved bolsters. A USA Buck..Priceless!

Take a look at Opinel. You can order many of their knives with custom engraving. Careful, though. You wouldn’t want people to think you are putting on airs.

Kershaw 8300 duojet promo. Speedsafe opening 8cr13mov steel, carbon fiber insert 3.25" blade 7.75" open frame lock. I paid under 20 for it, the torsion bar was weak so I returned it to the factory and got this back. No clue how much the ink stamp costs, but it's a nice blade for cheap. Came very sharp, feels and looks good. Flipper opens quickly and strong.

I think I’m going to stick with SAK. Not everyone receiving them will be “knife guys” so a little Swiss Army will work great. I’m looking for a company to print on them now.

Thanks!

Prob a good idea with the SAK. The less ppl that see a murder weapon when they look at it the better.

It's rare enough that the impact can be big for some folks. I've gotten a couple of branded Swiss Army Knives and box cutters over the years. I've always appreciated it. Being in my pocket or the little quick access spots in my top desk drawer does more for me than a kitchen magnet. The last one I got was an off-brand SAK from my insurance agent about a decade ago. Back in the 90s, a guy I knew had some little inexpensive straight razors made with his company info on the handle. Notice that I remember those fondly all these years later. :)

I've dealt with these guys on four occasions and had great service every time.

They offer knives on their website or you can send them your own knives. They can do your company logo. You just need to send them a picture of it.

They will send you a "mock up" of what the finished product will look like and they won't proceed with the engraving until you approve the mock up. Keep in mind that the color of the engraving depends on the material being engraved. If engraving on steel the color will be black. You'll have to talk to them about other materials to determine the color of the engraving.

Here's an example that I had engraved for a friend who retired. I sent the picture of the coffee mug by email and I sent the knife by mail.

There are lots of places that can do this. You might be able to find someone in your own city.

Here’s what I wound up with. The only thing is this company only had one green color to choose from. My color is more of a lime green. They look good though!
