Here are some knives I just finished for the knifeshow in Gembloux (Belgium).

First the smallest version of the outdoor serie I'm developing. His bigger brother is also shown in the picture. The third (and biggest knife) is still on paper because I'm not pleased with it yet.

Steel is O1, selectively hardened with a OD gunkote finish. grips are black/green micarta as are the pins.

Here a groupfoto. The knife on the bottem is the original, the smallest outdoor knife has bigger fingergrooves, which is the main difference.
The one with the black grips is a test knife.

Next a simple hunter out of ATS34. micarta bolster, red wood(have to find its real name) and black ebony as a back tip.

Last my first sub-hilt fighter made out of c75 and 75ni8. guards are blued steel and the grip black ebony.

I still have to make the sheaths, and time is running out!

Greetings Toni

The lighting on the first three photos makes it hard to see detail in the handles, but the outline looks good. The hunter looks great, but my favorite is the subhilt. Did you make the pattern welded steel yourself.

Yes, I did forge the steel myself. This knife is part of the course I'm following in making damascus steel. My good friend Gudy van Poppel is teaching me, both forging and pattern welding.

greetings Toni

The subhilt looks superb .... I am thinking of driving over to Gembloux, do you have a list of the table holders?

Cheers,

Stephen

Thanks for the look. I like the tactical outdoors knives - but my favourite is you big damascus subhilt. Hard to imagine it is your first subhilt ! Best of luck. Have a good show. Jason.
