"knives For Sale"

Well, I guess I won't take this one since the seller added $8 shipping to the price two hours after I said I'd buy it. :jerkit:

I have bought and sold quite a few knives on Bladeforums and have the good feedback here to prove it. When I post an ad I make sure AT LEAST the prices are what I want, and that includes shipping. You told me you "weren't finished" posting the ad. That is simply ridiculous for you to say. I agreed to purchase the knife at $25, then you add over 30 % to the price with the shipping you "forgot" to put in. What were people supposed to do that read the ad you had posted, think to themselves, "Oh, he's probably not finished posting this yet even though it's here on the board."
Furthermore, I did not e-mail you "while you were posting the ad". The ad had ALREADY BEEN POSTED. I replied and sent you a confirmation e-mail WHICH YOU RESPONDED BACK TO OK'ing the sale for $25 and sent me your address. TWO HOURS later you sent me another e-mail saying you needed $8 shipping. I think I upheld my end of the usual buyer/seller relationship. YOU screwed up so don't even try put the blame on me.
I would love to hear what a moderator has to say about this. Please chime in Glockman and tell me who is in the wrong here.

Knock it off, both of you.

You need to work this out via email.

For the record, I'm neuteral in this. I see both of your points, but both of you needs to give the other the benefit of the doubt.

I would suggest that you split the shipping cost, and stop acting like a couple of little kids.

Any more bickering in this thread and I'll start issuing infractions and I also will shut it down.

Please read the rules of the forum. A deal isn't a deal until both members agree - that means that both members agree to the price. "I'll buy it" isn't enough. If shipping isn't mentioned as included in the OP, then don't assume. Past that, chatting isn't allowed in for sale threads.
