Benchmade 760 LFTi. A folding Bob Lum tanto with Ti handles/frame lock. Also, the old Benchmade Competition chopper, but I don't think they make it anymore. Then I think they have 3 or 4 more models slated for 2012 with M4. I can't remember. SHOT was all a blur...

You can get the Spyderco Manix 2 in M4 from www.bentoboxshop.com I'm surprised they have not sold out of the 600 yet. I would hurry & get 1 if you like the Manix platform. M4 is my preferred EDC steel now, it amazes me how much I've cut wit it & I can still not see any reflections off the cutting edge.

Thank you!
How hard does Spyderco take the CPM M4?
How hard does Benchmade take the 520 / 525 in the CPM M4?

I havent's had my M4 Military tested, but I had two Spyderco M4 Mules tested and they came back with a reading of 62.3 in the handle area.

There are a few makers that specialize in CPM-M4 if you are interested.

It can be a great steel depending on what your preferences are (and if the knife is made appropriately).

Strider did a limited run of SMF Aluminum Knives in CPM M4 - mine simply rocks in every way

BM changed the specs of their new CPM-M4 to 62-64 HRC.
On the 810, all previous releases as well as the 760 are/were 60-62, looking forward to the 810 though and the bump up in hardness, maybe due to the 4mm thick blade?

The Mules were 62-63 Rc. The only tested M4 Military I remember was 63. The initial group of GBs were tested (several examples) in the 64-65 range, which was apparently an anomaly; later production is apparently in a lower range. I keep saying "apparently" about the GB because I don't recall any actual testing on later production, but a couple of years of posts seem to indicate that the original 64-65 range may not have been maintained.

Thank you!

Not just the 810 but also the gold 940 - so I would assume that they updated their entire m4 heat treat.
