I know we have talked about this before, but let's do it again!
Name as many different knives (type, company, etc.) featured in movies as you can!
Name the movie too!
GO!

Don't know the brand, but the drop point hunter ole Magnum P.I. used in Quigley Downunder was in dire need of a good sharpening. Next time you watch the flick, pay close attention to the part where he and Crazy(Oh Baby!!)Cora are dumped out in the desert. He tries to cut the rope she's tied up with. Saws it back and fortha few times and then lets go like it's cut. But then a few seconds later, you can see that he never got it cut. Sheeeesh, you'd think a big star like Tom Selleck could afford a good sharp knife!! Next time ya need a knife for a flick Tom, gimme a call.Take care! Michael

In The Edge Anthony Hopkins used a custom folder by Brian Tighe, in Entrapment Catherine Zeta Jones used a Spyderco Endura (or Delica) and the same knife was used by Ice Cube in Anaconda. In Faceoff Nicholas Cage used a CS SafeKeeper to try to kill Travolta. There are a lot more but those are all I can name off the top of my head.

Soloman, the knife Anthony Hopkins used in the "Edge" was made by Brian Lyttle, NOT Tighe. Both knifemakers are Canadian though.

Solomon,

Did you forget the khukuir wrapped nicely around Zeta's neck in antique shop?

Saw Sniper on TV the other day. Berenger used mini Smatchet in H2H scene.

I always loved the HALO scenes in the Gena Davis/Samuel Jackson movie "The Long Kiss Goodnight". Plus that bad ass fixed blade!

Don't forget the bowie in the early part of "Unforgiven" when the bad guys abuse the fancy girls. 'can't remember the maker.

In "Stir of Echoes" Kevin Bacon's character's wife uses a Benchmade Spike as a self-defense weapon. If you look closely, you can catch a blurred glimpse of the BM butterfly logo.

In the new version of "The Mummy" Brandan Frazier uses a one-hander with skeletonized handles briefly. It looks like a CRKT Commander or a BM Leopard. Weird, because the movie takes place in 1923.

At the end of "Stigmata" the priese uses a liner-lock-type knife to pry something from the floor of a church in Brazil.

In "The Fan" there are several knives used by Robert DeNiro. A Cold Steel Tanto, Gerber E-Z out and E-Z out Jr., and a Benchmade Leopard (cub?).

In "Blade" his mother pulls out a Benchmade 3500 auto.

In "Switchback" there is a linerlock folder and a fixed blade knife.

In "Cliffhanger" someone uses a fully serrated Spyderco Endura to cut the leg of a B.G. to save his own life.

James Y,
Just watched Stigmata yesterday, and am watching it again today (I'm a projectionist at school)...do you know what kind of folder Father Anthony uses in that scene? It sort of reminded me of a Gene Osborn (Center Cross), but I'm probably wrong.

In Undersiege Steven Segal uses: Gil Hibben thrower(8"), Gerber Mark II.
In Under Siege 2 he uses am Mission MPK
In Face/Off, travolta (playing cares character) gives daughter a BM kris bladed Balisong.
Everybody knows about the Rambo knives.

We can't forget Crocadile Dundee's Bowie that he had. Or the dude that tried to hold him up w/ that little stileto. I love the scene where he pulls his bowie out and says: "That's not a knife, *pulls out bowie* THIS is a knife."

then the dude just runs away!

Also supposedly one of My RECON Blades was in an Episode of S.O.F. on Tv although i didnt see the episode. <shrug>

SYCOTICSAMURAI. Actually the Knife used in UNDER SEIGE 2 was a MADDOG " DSU-2" , not a Mission Knife. I was Working with kevin when this meeting took place with SEGAL at his warner brothers Office about the movie knives for the Movie.

In U.S. Marshalls, one of the deputies pulls out a BM AFO to cut off a bracelet off of Tommy Lee Jones arm.

Streets of Fire-BM balisong

Out of Sight-Michael Keaton uses a Delica to peel an apple(Jennifer Lopez uses an ASP baton!)

In the Mummy, Brendan Frasier uses a BALISONG to cut! A balisong with skeletonized handles!

The Fan-Robert DeNiro plays a knife salesman! Gerber BMF and LMF!

Flipper(yes, the dolphin)-dude uses a Civilian(maybe Harpy?) to cut fishing line!

The Corruptor-guy uses a Buck to pry open a door.

Bringing out the dead-Nick Cage also uses a Buck

L.A. Confidential-Russell Crowe uses one of those cheap POS switchblades and stabs some guy in the thigh

In one of the Cheech and Chong movies(can't remember which one
biggrin.gif
) Jeff Imada uses a balisong to open a champagne bottle

Taxi Driver-Travis Bickle's Ka-Bar taped to his boot

Crow-cool knives; I saw one CS, but I don't know the others

Speaking of Danny Glover in Switchback, that was one cool knife he had in his boot! Had to be a custom...the other guy had a Berreta Air-Light

I don't know if this counts, but in Conan the Barbarian, his dad makes swords in the beginning...

Mitch:
I saw it only once, and I can't for the life of me place it. But the knife looked like a custom piece to me.
