Knives in the 50-60$$ range

Hey guys I've been looking into getting a combat/survival knife and I'm wanting to spend around 50-60$$ at the moment I'm looking at the kabar mk1 or the gerber prodigy any suggestions of which one i should choose or any suggestions of another knife I should look at .any help is appreciated thanks.

Kabar USMC Fighting/Utility, lot of options in Ontario's SP lineup...
 
Ya I was looking at the full sized kabar but I was going more towards something in the 5-6in blade

Then yeah, Kabar Mk 1, Ontario Mk 3 Navy Knife, or Pilot Survival Knife would all work well. Dunno about the Gerber, a lot of their recent output is junky but I don't know about the Prodigy specifically.
 
The Gerber Prodigy, Profile, and Big Rock camp knife are all decent knives, but for the money, the Kabar Mark 1 is much better.
 
Is the kabar shorts handle too small tripwire895 i was thinking about the short but was worried that it was goin to be too small I have medium hands and its a 4in handle
