do to a recent post i thought id ask the above question heres my op:
\ if something says made in Canada and its not i don't give 2 shits cause i don't own my country nor do i care if my money stays in Canada. if its cheap and it works then i get it. im not gonna go out of my way to by something and spend extra money just because the funds will stay in our economy. if the government wants to keep money in our economy then they should stop investing money in overseas crap they don't need because its not up to me to to save the economy im busy saving money in my wallet. that's just my opinion

Unless someone like YOU care a whole awful lot, nothings gonna get better, its not.-LORAX

"If It's cheap and it works" doesn't always mean it will work for long...

I do believe in the USA and think we could make a great product at a great value.. I wish a lot of things were different. I agree that if a product can be produced overseas and it will save you money, by all means buy it.

there are very few things if any that you can buy today that are made in my country, the USA. if i'm given an affordable opportunity to buy something made in the US, i will, and i do. i only buy US made knives because everything else i buy today or wear is made in china. i like to support the independent companies that make products here if i can cus quite honestly i'm tired of looking at everything with a tag that says made in china or made in vietnam.

I will always buy something made in Canada or USA if I can. I don't hesitate to pay extra for the extra quality and the advantages to our economy.

I think this post is bs and should be closed. The OP of the other thread made a mistake. The knife in question was made in China and all advertising clearly state so. The OP was a neophyte and made an honest mistake.

I like buying quality. If its made in USA then that's icing on the cake. Does it matter if YOU keep your money in you country? No. But if half the poplation doesn't either, then it starts to matter.

Its easy to think you are saving money by buying lesser quality products made over seas. As all of our industries leave N.American the jobs go with them. You may think that your job isn't affected, But it is, in many ways. With the middle class disappearing in N. America we are becoming a Colony of red china. They hold our debt, and we can only buy their products.

In your life time you will see the error of this thinking. When all you can buy is junk made in china.

It comes down to quality, I'm sick of spending my money on inferior goods. Country of manufacture is not always a reliable indicator of quality but in general it seems like products made in the US, Europe, or Japan are more likely to be high quality than those made in China. And even if you do find a quality Chinese product "specifications subject to change without notice" so it might suck next week.

China only holds 10 Percent of America's debt...most of us debt is held by...you guessed it Americans. Why can't we just discuss knives instead of how much most Americans factually don't know about macro economics.

I scored a 1300 on my Sat's hold two degrees and my family is in the top 4 percent of earners. I'm also a first generation Chinese American. And as an American I make no excuses. My parents taught me to survive. Not only did I do that I thrived because that's the American way. No excuses.

LOL, Well then you need to read the original post in regards to the question?
Also 10% and climbing " I'm sure you can tell us how fast?" is far to much.

Besides If you want to stick to discussing knives why are you trying to impress us with your pedigree, degrees, income level and that you still live with your parents Heh? No excuses pal!

It's not the place of manufacture, it's the OP's declaration of how "great" his $2.50 knife was, that got him all hot under the collar in his other post.

When I said family I meant me and my wife alone. And I already noted that the OP is trolling. His original reference was about a knife that had China stamped on the blade. So this whole conspiracy theory is BS.

Some folks make it sound like its impossible to clear 6 figures and live the American dream. I say its not...

Also factually speaking and just to set the record straight as folks obviously don't know fact from fiction - China held 12% of US debt in 2010, 10% in 2012 and in 2013 China held roughly 8-9% of US debt. It's actually declining and not rising and that's because they are trying to control their own rampant inflation by changing their own economy from an export economy to a consumer driven economy.

I don't care where a knife is made as long as its made well but putting made in the US on a knife that is made in China is fraud and I definitely would not buy anything from a company that would do something like that. I think part of the problem is that to many people have this attitude like the OP that its not their responsibility to do their part to help their countries economy. If its not your responsibility or problem then whose is it? I always try to buy US made products when it is feesible and I can afford to do so and even though it I may be naive I do believe I should do my small part to help the US economy.

I have to chime in. I prefer to by U.S. Made products. I take my vacations here because I want my money spread in the U.S. I buy U.S. Made every chance I get. I frequent mom and pop stores when I can. I love this country and will do whatever I can, no matter how small, to support it.

LOL in your THREE posts you failed to discuss knives of any kind. Why do you try and belittle this intelligent accomplished American citizen that stated some interesting facts?
