Hello everyone,
I haven't contributed as much as I would like to this forum, so I decided to add a bit of eye-candy to the forum by posting three knives that I purchased in 2007. The last is actually a set of knives but I am sure no one will mind.
The first knife I would like to show was made for me on custom order by Bailey Bradshaw. I always wanted to have a sub-hilt fighter made combining some concepts I had seen on various knives and with a bit of a twist to it. So I approached Bailey about this over 2 years ago. He finished it about 6 months ago. Of course, he put his own style into the design.
I picked this knife as the first to post as it is the week of the Reno show and he is both an ABS mastersmith and will be at the show.
Hope you like it, I sure do.
Knife specs:
Blade steel: W-2
Blade treatment: Clay heat-treated with double hamon
Blade length: approx 8.5 inches
Fittings steel: 4140
Fittings treatment: 22k gold and pure silver inlays, then heat colored
Handle material: Maidou Burl
Handle length: approx. 5 inches
Pictures (click on the last one and you'll open the source album):

Sorry, the pics aren't the best I have ever taken, but they'll have to do.
I'll post the other two knives in the next 2 weeks.
