I'm surprised you haven;t heard from the masses yet, McSoappy, KOA knives are relatively popular and I can;t remember hearing a bad comment about them. I don;t own any but they are high on my wish list.

We have a Sprotsmans Warehouse near here and they carry a good portion of KOA line. I've had the oppurtunity to fondle everything of KOA that the Warehouse carries.....several times. I really like their muskrat, bear cub(?), and their camp knife (can;t think of the name of it right now). I also like their knife sets.

Most of their blades are D2 (which I don;t care much for). I love their designs, their handle scales, and their leatherwork. Very high quality stuff.

More than a couple of Forum Members have KOA knives and, as I said, the accolades are generous.

SIDE NOTE: Has anyone noticed the high number of newly registered members from OHIO? I notice it being a Youngstown-born native.

I have three KOA knives so far and will buy more. Great knives, I carry the Cub Bear daily. I have two fillet knives and would recommend them to anybody. Possibly the sharpest out of the box knives I've seen. Definitely the most comfortable handles.

I have owned many KOA knives. They are a class act unsurpassed by no other company. Absolutely great customer care and products.

I just bought their elk hunter model with D2 steel.I haven't had a chance to really use it yet but really like it's looks & how it feels. The only complaint I have with it is the handle. The scales are somewhat loose on the tang & I can feel them move.Since I'm in Canada, rather than sending the knife back under warranty I tried tightening the rivets with a brass punch & hammer. Not knowing anything about how these rivets work I was taking a chance but it seems to have worked.(desperate times call for desperate measures)If they loosen again in the future I think I might try removing the rivets & going to screws.Would I buy another KOA knife?Absolutely!
