Anyone used or seen the KOA featherlight folding hunter knife? I'm thinking of getting one. Any reviews would be appreciated. Also anyone know the carbon fiber handle would hold up compared to the G10? Thanks!

yep, i 've got one !
let's say...
there is good points and bad points...;)

pro:
D2 blade
light
CB handle

con:
the CB handle is quite "splipy", i have other knives in CB which are much better.
i was not sharp "out of the box", but after some pass on my sharpmaker, it's fine.
there is no "clip" and i like it.:(

so to summarize... it's not bad but there are better knives around.

Not on their website. Found 3 models on eBay, the Bird & Trout, Hunter, and Defender. Look like nice, lightweight, slim knives. KoA isn't very high-profile around here, whether that's advertising or what, I don't know. Makes it hard to get a lot of opinions.

doesn't Knives of Alaska do a small amount of friction-forged blades? That sounds like a pretty neat concept from what I've heard.

They do that separately from their regular line, it's a different division, I think they don't do the friction forging in-house.

Please do not be confused, Featherlite has for 15 years meant an A. G. Russell one hand knife. This is just a mistake by marketing peopl,e who know nothing of the knife business, I am sure it will soon be corrected.

Meanwhile if you want a "Featherlite" knife you know where to go for it.
