Knives of Alaska hatchet

I was looking at buying one two or three years ago. What turned me off was the fact that it was cast rather than forged. I am very familiar with the new casting methods, such as MIM, but I still prefer a forged axe/hatchet/hawk.

I have one I bought about 5 years ago. Haven't used it much but it worked well when I did play around with it. If they are still made with S7 steel, like mine, you'd be hard pressed to to break the head unless there is a heat treat problem. S7 steel is a shock steel made for high impact resistance.
