Knives of Alaska Hunter series?

Looking for good all-purpose hunting knife. Been looking at the Buck Vanguard they make for Cabelas in S30V or the KOA Hunter Alaskan in D2. Any help appreciated.
 
I've fondled both. Both are nice and a review by a friend of mine who has a Knives of Alaska hunting blade (unsure which model) are good. I like the Buck Alpha hunter, and it will probably be my next "hunting" knife.

That said, there are literally hundreds of good hunting blades by various makers. If I were in your shoes, I certainly wouldn;t overlook the Bark River knives or the Snody Carolinas.
