I don't catch every thread that shows up in Bladeforums, but I can't remember seeing any discussion of the Knives of Alaska brand. I like their designs, and they use D2 steel for some of them, so the knives look promising. Has anyone bought and used a Knives of Alaska knife?

I have the Brown Bear Combo.

But have yet to use them, it's only been about 8-9 years since I bought them!

I ahve the bush camp combo. I'm in the middle of re-handeling them in orange G-10. Good design IMO. The combo I have is AUS-8. Holds an edge O.K. I preffer carbon/tool steel but they perform well for what I have used them for.

I have the bear cub and jeagar in Carabou and ATS-34 as a set. I love em, I use the jeagar the most actually its just a fantastic boning knife and all around small details knife for small game. i use my razorback on deer and bear and boar, well to dress them. But for boning I use my Jeagar. Oh I also have the large camp knife with zytel handle, its a pretty decent knife as well I just dont use it that much.

I didn't know they made knives in ATS-34. Those with D2 blades are the ones that interest me.

I saw one model on a website that looked similar to the Canadian Grohmann knives. It had a D2 blade.
