nice collection!
I have Bush Camp, Boar Hunter, and Alpha Wolf - all from D2
I really like KOA but stiil do not use him hard and do not say about edge retention
ma be some one else will tell more for edge retention of KOA?

The only one I've got is the Magnum Ulu, in D2 with a chisel ground edge.
I've only used it on food prep but the edge hasn't degraded at all.

Edge retentin seems good to me. However, they often do not feel as sharp as some of my other knives. This said, they cut like lasers.

Some come in fewer choices, but see the Boar Hunter for an extensive range. I wouldn't be surprised if a call to them could get some of these choices on other knives as well.

Great collection Jim! I really like the KOA blades, but I haven't yet taken the plunge. I kindly like the Bush Camp and the small rounded-end knife (Muskrat?). I like their hard-rubber sclaes and their sheaths.

Great company to deal with. I recently received the Bush Camp D2 knife, but it had defective rubber grips. Called KOA, they are replacing it and even paying my return shipping costs. What more can one ask for?

Same here. When I got the Alpha Wolf it was not as sharp as I expected it to be. When I buy a knife it has to be sharp to start. I sent it back to them and the sharpened it, returned it in a week and paid me back for the shipping to them. What more could one ask?

Some of their models have choices of grip but I like their safty Grip (hard rubber) Not sexy but practical and Safe. JMO.

I need to get another Elk Hunter. I walked off and left mine lay:mad:. I might find it in the spring but its covered with snow now. This time I will get the one with the Orange scales.:D I still want their Yukon Belt knife, same pattern as the Grohmann. That one comes with several scale options as well as a couple blade variations.

I agree. Great people to deal with.

Nice collection!!! I carry a Cub Bear when day hiking, like fixed blades better than folders. Also have a "Military" set with Brown Bear cleaver and serrated Cub Bear I carry in my BOB.

I got mine at Cabelas but last week I saw one at Sportsmans Warehouse. However it was in a combo with the saw.

I bought a Cub Bear from Cabelas a few years ago, mistakenly thinking it was D2. I was not happy with the edge holding. I think it was AUS 6 or 8.

Does anyone here have a yukon belt knife from Knives of Alaska? I'm a thinking of purchasing one soon, but can't find any review of it.
