Winston Churchill and Benjamin Franklin are two people from history of many that I admire, and I was curious, does anyone know if either of them carried pocket knives? If they did, what brand were they?

a wonderous question indeed!
well, the bad news about winston
the wartime prime minister iwas that
he slept a lot and did many things in bed.
he however did smoke an awful lot.
perhaps he had a knife or something
for that iconic habit?
oops! bad news,
"...Churchill became renowned as a cigar smoker. As such, he received many cigar cutters as gifts over the years. Despite this, however, he did not use a cigar cutter on his own smokes. Instead, he would moisten the end of the cigar and use an extra-long match to poke a hole through it..."

lets face it, any probablle frequent use of
knives in churchill's hands must have
come in the form of table cutlery :-)
oh and btw churchill had a bodyguard

perhaps, all cutting chores went to him ;-)

Winston Churchill was in his 60's when he became prime minister, so he did a lot of living before that time.
He was a WWI vet, owned firearms, swords and was involved in the design of the Fairbairn knife in WWII.

There's references in books, of him using a pocket knife he kept in his vest pocket, but no pictures of the actual knife ( that I could find).
