Post the knife/knives you have or will use TODAY :)

If there is enough interest in this thread, well we can create that thread each day - whoever creates one for the day first. I'm purposely creating this thread under custom knives, but if one day you're using a Benchmade for example then by all means post it of course...
But I don't make the rules! So ideas welcome!
If that kind of daily thread already exists then my apologies.

We can follow the same format I used in the title so it's easy to spot each day.

We do that on watch forums and it's a great way to interact everyday and consistently discover new knives (and if you only display your knife you can just post the knife/knives you chose for that day, or the one you stared at the longest that day haha)

So this should be a thread full of pictures but comments, talking is welcome as well. What do you guys think?

Shameful disclaimer: I love this daily thread idea but I'm new and I haven't yet figured out how to add pictures to my posts. I will as soon as I figure it out though. I know... ironic... don't make fun! ;)

Cordially,
Adam

Hello Adam, welcome to Blade Forums.
Perhaps the lack of activity here is a result of your asking for photos of knives we will "use" today.
I expect quite a few of us have an everyday carry, however other than kitchen knives how many opportunities do we have to
actually "use" a knife everyday. Certainly not like the "old days" when one depended on his pocket or side knife for daily survival.
Sometimes, I will find myself deliberately creating opportunities to use my knife. ;)

I'll play! I snapped this pic a few minutes ago just for you:D;

these are the two knives I carry every work day. Serge Panchenko's kwaiken I use only for food, the John W. Smith folder cuts other stuff, (the Stellite blade is amazing!).

When I'm in the woods, I have a couple of different knives I carry depending on whether I'm on my bike or building trails. One of these days when I'm out there I'll snap a pic and add to your thread.

I like threads like this:thumbup::cool:

Hi Adam,

Here are pics of my four most-used knives:

Burt Foster (a couple in-use pics for you):

Mike Alsdorf (this rides in my briefcase every day):

PS - which watch forum are you on - Timezone?

I'll play too! Here are some of my daily use knives. Each is custom and handmade with the exception of the yellow handle utility knife.

Haha thanks guys for helping my little thread haha.
@ Kevin: hahah it's so true! I also sometimes make up ways to use my knives hehe

So if you guys are interested, the idea is to create a new thread everyday, with the same title and just change the date.
If you don't see a thread for a day then you can create it and if u see one you can just add your knife or comment.
On watch forums, it works really well, it's just a habit to include in our knife forum culture.
Watch geeks often have anywhere from 2 watches to 30 etc. I think it's about the same for knife guys, so it should have potential...
Let me know what you think...
Also I need to simplify the concept for people to read it I thnk, I talk too much...

I appreciate your enthusiasm- maybe one day it will catch on!
In the meantime, I just got back from a trail recon this evening and snapped a few photos of my knife;
