Anyone ever watch the show Moonshiners? Not going to get into whether or not the show is real or fake, but it is interesting. Anyway, I've noticed alot of traditional knives are used on the show. Any time they open a sack of corn or cut anything, its usually always a yellow Case trapper. The other night, there was a story about Popcorn Sutton's pocket knife when he was a kid. Probably not a place for the story, but the knife they showed looked to be a very old Case large stockman. When he described the knife, it sounded like a moose or muskrat (blades opened up on each end") but they showed what looked to be a large stockman, and I guess it does have blades opening on each end, with two on one end.
Anyway, I find the use of traditional slip joints on the show interesting and it's about the same as it is in the Ozarks where I live, where pretty much all you see are Buck and Case.
